David Ospina was rushed to hospital after collapsing on the pitch during Napoli’s game with Udinese on Sunday.The on-loan Arsenal star suffered a sickening collision with Ignacio Pussetto after just seven minutes of the Serie A clash.Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti later indicated that Ospina was recovering but would be kept in hospital for observation.David Ospina collides with Ignacio Pussetto3

In quotes published on the club’s official Twitter account, Ancelotti said: “[It is] nothing serious – they did the tests and they turned out negative. He will have to stay [in hospital] tonight.”After receiving treatment and getting bandaged up, the Colombia international initially carried on with a large cut on his forehead.However, after conceding twice, Opsina went down in the 44th minute with no-on around him calling his Napoli teammates to urgently call for a stretcher.A buggy was driven onto the pitch to carry the stricken 30-year-old from the San Paolo pitch and into a waiting ambulance, where he was immediately taken to hospital.The Napoli players called for medical attention after the keeper collapsed3

Alex Meret came on to replace Ospina before the break and Napoli duly went on to win the game 4-2.Following the arrival of Bernd Leno, the shot-stopper was allowed to leave on loan and will hope to play against his parent club after the Europa League quarter-final draw.Ospina signed for the Gunners in July 2014 but has only made 27 league appearances for the Premier League side.
