The 2019 summer transfer window could well be one of the busiest ever as teams across Europe look to strengthen.Its been a thrilling season both at home and abroad and now the hectic business of buying and selling can begin.

Summer transfer window: When does it open and close?
The transfer window opened at 00.01 on Thursday, May 16.It will close again at 5pm on Thursday, August 8 before the new Premier League season get underway.* Click here for all the latest deals and transfer gossip *
Transfers from abroad were able to be made official when the FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS) opened at midnight on June 9.Trading can now carry on until the deadline but English teams will still be able to sell abroad as other countries have different closure dates.

Summer transfer window: What about EFL clubs?
The EFL window opened on Monday, May 6.The Championship transfer window will then close on the same date as the Premier League while League One and League Two clubs will have until 5pm on Monday, September 2.Championship clubs will not be able to sign players on loan after August 8 but League One and League Two clubs can do so until September 2.
